Meghan Hogan-Tauber has a BFA from USF and a lifetime of creative experience. While in college, she did a small bit of screen printing and then put it down. Until around 2015 when her mom, Ellen Hogan, suggested that someone should make a rooster shirt for Ybor City. Art supplies were purchased, shirts were made and boom! After that, Hogan Made has slowly been adding designs to our collection and now have upwards of 20 different designs (not including the custom heat transfer vinyl options that are available).
Ellen Hogan (mom) is a seamstress and potter who has been creating cute, but practical items in both mediums for just about a lifetime. Her sewing creations range from small pouches to pillow slip covers and her pottery range is even wider, including brie baking dishes and salt and pepper shakers to containers and colanders. Now that she has a new sewing machine, Meghan has been handed down the beloved singer that Ellen’s mom used.
Red Hogan (dad) is not only eye candy and bouncer for Hogan Made, one of his many talents includes wood turning. At the ripe age of 74 he taught himself how to use a lathe and immediately began creating beautiful pieces of art. Now 88, Red continues to create these pieces and he even has an Instagram account!
Kathleen Hogan (sister/daughter) is an inspiration to all that Hogan Made is and stands for. Our passion is the love of our community which is something Kathleen taught Meghan, growing up on the mean streets of South Tampa.
